Path to Relational
Healing is designed for Asian counselors and
people in need of improving relationship
with their loved ones. This workshop is
based on state of the art empirical research
on intimate relationships. It has integrated
important insights and effective treatment
ingredients from some of the best
relationship curriculum from both the East
and the West. This workshop has been
conducted for Asian audiences in China,
Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and North
America and received rave reviews. Major
themes of the workshop include Depth
Psychology of Love and Attachment,
Effectively Managing Differences and
Conflicts, Intentionally Strengthening
Friendship, Developing a Healthy, Authentic
Sense of Self, Gender Relationship, Family
of Origin Issues, Emotional Intelligence
Training, Practical Steps for Emotional
Regulation and Conflict Management,
Commitment, Forgiveness, Loving Actions,
etc. The workshop focuses on developing both
insights/conceptualization as well as
practical skills/experiential learning. The
goal is to enhance people helpers¡¯ insights
and skills regarding intimate relationship,
in order for them to bring healing to their
own relationships as well as to the large
number of lives they touch.

Dr. Wei-Jen Huang is a
clinical psychologist and clinical assistant
professor at Northwestern University
Feinberg School of Medicine, USA. Dr. Huang
is known in China, Taiwan, Singapore,
Malaysia and North America for his work on
couple¡¯s therapy and relationship education.
In October, 2004, Dr. Huang served as a
Plenary Speaker for the United Nation
sponsored International Family Conference in
Kuala Lumpur. Several times Dr. Huang has
been invited by the Singapore and Malaysia
Governments to train their mental health
professionals. Since year 2000, Dr. Huang
has also been invited six times by China
Ministry of Civil Affairs to conduct
training. He has also been invited multiple
times to serve the Chinese general public by
providing relationship education through
Chinese CCTV and other Mass Media. His
relationship articles on <http://blog.sina.com.cn/doctoroflove>
have attracted more than 1,000,000 visits.
Dr. Huang has published two books: ¡°From
Mourning to Dancing: Understanding and
Treating Relationship Crises¡± and ¡°To Love
is to Cherish Each Other¡±. His well cited
article ¡°An Asian Perspective on
Relationship and Marriage Education¡± was
published in April, 2005 by the Family
Process. His recent work, ¡°Journey to
Intimacy¡± was published in December, 2007 by
China Light Industry Publisher. It includes:
Curriculum DVDs, Leaders and Participants¡¯
Manuals.
