Abstract or brief
introduction of the workshop
|
Family therapy is
increasingly welcome and used in China, and
it is expected to be required as one of the
main psychotherapeutic models in the
upcoming National Licensing System For
Psychotherapists by the governmental
authorities. While there is some commonness
among various schools of family therapy,
different schools have been using and
developing their unique operational concepts
and techniques. It is necessary to outline
the core competence requirements for family
therapists despite of diversity among
different schools. This workshop aims to
promote exchanges of ideas and experiences
between Western and Chinese colleagues
regarding clinical work, education,
training, lawmaking and regulation of
professional organizations. The organizers
are experienced therapists from Germany, USA
and China. They will introduce relevant
theories and useful skills through
demonstration of clinical cases, while they
will emphasize the importance of the
requirements regarding professionals¡¯
values, attitude and ethics.
