Discussing cross-cultural characteristics of the disorder of traumatic events: The socio-cultural context is of great importance; differences therefore exist for the different cultures, societies and countries with regard to the development of disorders of traumatic events and PTSD, the organization of the psychotherapeutic treatment structures and in the application of psychotherapy. This is a very important aspect for the future development, because Chinese psychotherapy will use many theoretical and practical aspects of the ^western stile ̄ of psychotherapy, but in conclusion, the Chinese psychotherapy will differ in essential assumptions and topics and will discover its own structures and procedures Therefore the trainers of this workshop will be Chinese and German.
