The 5th World Congress for Psychotherapy (WCP2008) will be held in
Beijing during October 12th to 15th, 2008. The congress intends to
invite many distinguished psychotherapists home and abroad to
organize more than 40 workshops which can be divided into 8
categories. What follows are explanations concerning the
registration of charged workshops.
1£®Types of charged workshops
The charged workshop in this Congress has two types: the
Pre-Congress Workshop and the Evening Workshop. The Pre-Congress
Workshop will be set on days of Oct. 9th and Oct. 10th, 2008,
totaling two days or twelve hours. The Evening Workshop will be set
on evenings of Oct. 13th to 15th, 2008 within the Congress, totaling
three evenings or nine hours.

2£® Principles for organizing and canceling a charged workshop
All the charged workshops listed here have been endorsed by the
academy committee. However, whether it can be actually organized
depends on whether its budget is balanced. That means only those
that recruit enough participants will be held. After the deadline
for early registration, June 30th, 2008, the Congress will make a
check and cancel off those that do not recruit enough participants.
Notification will be put on the Congress website as soon as
possible.

Principles of refunding
(1) We will give full refund to those who are affected by
cancellation of workshops or change of workshop¡¯s working language
by the Congress.
(2) We will give 70% refund to those who quit their workshops before
September 1th, 2008.
(3) We will give no refund to those who quit their workshops after
September 1th, 2008.
(4) The refunding will be done within one month after the Congress.
4£®Procedures for registration of charged workshops
First step: fill up your registration information on the website:

Second step: choose the workshops you want to participate in
Each participant can choose four workshops: two pre-congress
Workshops (the first choice and the second choice for pre-congress
workshop respectively) and two evening workshops (the first choice
and the second choice for between-congress evening workshop
respectively). In case the workshop you choose as first choice is
cancelled off by the Congress, the system will automatically take
your second choice into account and contact you as soon as possible
through email, telephone, or short message etc. Further, if the
workshop you choose as second choice is also cancelled off, the
staff members will contact you as soon as possible, and you can
choose to receive full refund or transfer to another workshop you
are interested in.
Third step: Pay for the charged workshop
Fourth step£ºOnce the Congress registration department receives the
fees and verifies it, the registration is succeeded.
5. The working language and translation for the charged workshops
The main working language of the congress is English and Chinese.
The language in a specific workshop is notified in its introduction.
According to recruited participants, the congress may make some
adjustments on the working language for particular workshops. To
make sure the workshop can run smoothly, also considering the actual
need of the participants, the congress may cancel the translation if
few people have problems in understanding the language of the
trainer in a specific workshop. This will be notified as soon as
possible, so that the participants can choose to stay, or transfer
to another workshop, or to quit it and receive full refund by the
congress.
